Sara Eckhoff, Community Engagement and Training Manager

Sara Eckhoff is the Community Engagement and Training Manager at the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence (RICADV), where she works to build and deepen the RICADV’s connections across the community. Sara joined the RICADV team in 2019 as the law enforcement training coordinator, a position she held for three years before transitioning to her current role. Prior to her work at the RICADV, she worked directly with folks experiencing domestic and sexual violence, first as a law enforcement advocate and then as advocacy coordinator at a sexual assault and trauma resource center in Providence. Further, Sara serves on the board of directors for Haven Box, an R.I.-based nonprofit that provides comfort boxes to survivors of sexual assault. Sara holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Rhode Island and a Master of Arts in Holocaust and Genocide Studies from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Sara finds joy in creating mosaic art, doodling, flowers, pizza and movie nights with her partner, unique thrift store finds, iced lattes and spending summer days by the water. In her free time, she spends as much time as possible with her beloved cat, Sugar.
