Claire Day DeHaven, SOAR Coordinator

Claire serves as the SOAR Coordinator at the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence (RICADV). She supports the RICADV’s survivor task force, SOAR (Sisters Overcoming Abusive Relationships), to promote, advocate and work toward the elimination of domestic violence. Prior to joining the RICADV team, Claire worked in educational program coordination in Washington, D.C. While in D.C., she volunteered as an advocate on the DC Rape Crisis Center’s hotline. Claire holds bachelor’s degrees in gender, sexuality and women’s studies as well as environmental studies from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. She enjoys reading, spending time at the beach and traveling with friends and family.
