This training provides an overview of the Victim Information and Notification Everyday (VINE) system, including its history, key features, and how to navigate the website and offender search portal. In addition, participants will gain a clear understanding of the role of Crime Victim Advocates within the Department of Corrections (DOC) and the essential functions of the Office on Victim Services. The session will also cover post-conviction advocacy— what happens after an offender is sentenced— and explore the services and resources available to victims as offenders are prepared for release from custody.
