With such little time left in the legislative session, Rhode Island leaders must act NOW.
6/18 - ACTION ALERT - DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PREVENTION FUND BILL
The bill is moving along well in the Senate, and we are optimistic about a positive outcome, but we still need your help to move the bill in the House.
People are letting us know that their voices are being heard. Please continue to advance the work to prevent domestic violence in RI by calling House Speaker Mattiello's office at 401-222-2466 and ask him to bring House Bill 7188 to the floor for a vote.
The House must act NOW - the safety and health of future generations depend on it.
We are in the FINAL week of the legislative session, and there are only a couple of days left to pass the Domestic Violence Prevention Fund (H-7188/S-2565)!
With such limited time left in the session, your local legislators need to hear that this isn't a bill they can wait on.
Contact your Representative - tell them how important it is to you that they pass the Domestic Violence Prevention Fund.

We invite the community to stand with us in support of this bill and a violence-free world for future generations.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recognizes domestic violence as a serious public health issue, one that community members must play a role in preventing. This bill proposes a simple, cost-effective way that Rhode Islanders can be a part of the solution to a problem that affects every community in the state.
